Advertising Supports the Platform. It Doesn’t Control It.
Standard factual venue listings are free — advertising is never required to be listed.
Businesses cannot purchase a higher Local Tab Score.
Advertisers cannot change reported prices or the outcome of a verification.
Paid placement does not control organic ranking or Find My Spot recommendations.
Sponsored placements must always be distinguishable from independent venue information.
Advertising participation is entirely optional.

Often Asked
Straight answers about what advertising is — and isn’t — on The Local Tab.
Is advertising required to receive a venue listing?
No. Standard factual venue listings are free, and you don't need to advertise with us to be considered for inclusion.
Can sponsors influence reviews or Local Tab Scores?
No. Ratings and scores are built only from eligible community reviews. Sponsorship cannot raise a score, remove honest criticism or change an outcome.
Are advertising placements available right now?
Not yet. We're collecting early inquiries while the platform is being built — placements, deliverables, terms and pricing are not confirmed.
Can venues submit menus without advertising?
Yes. Menu and price information can be sent through the For Venues form at any time, free of charge and with no advertising commitment.
How will performance be reported?
Any reporting capabilities and metrics will be specified in individual future agreements. We can't offer or guarantee results today.
Can businesses propose a custom partnership?
